The final version of the Supplements was released in May 2010 at the Amsterdam Global Conference on Sustainability and Transparency.
The GRI supplement for NGOs includes the GRI Guidelines and additional information explaining the issues and indicators which are specific to this sector of activity. The NGOs concerned by this supplement are those with an international dimension and the medium-sized and large national NGOs. However, all organizations can use it to improve their communication with their stakeholders.

The GRI Food Processing Sector Supplement was developed for companies that process food (including the fish and beverage industries). A portion of this supplement applies to organizations that produce alcohol and cigarettes, distribute food or supply fertilizers and pesticides.
